TipidTip # 26 - Check out org-sponsored sales in your campus.
If you're from UP Diliman, you know what I'm talking about. :)
Being part of an organization is a must in this campus. As a loyal member, you would go to all lengths raising funds for your org's parties, out-of-town trips, an occasional symposium and sige na nga, charitable causes. A lot of orgs sponsor movie showings in the Film Center. But in the recent years, branded clothes sale is where the action is. At student-friendly prices, these sales are worth checking out.
Ride the Ikot jeep and you would notice the colored papers pasted everywhere screaming "SALE." Jag and Lee sales are staples. There's Adidas too. Sometimes, Penshoppe, Memo and all other local brands join the bandwagon. This week, July 9-13, Mango, Zara etc will be on sale too! Every week, Vinzon's Hall is booked for sales such as these. Just hang-out in that area (with all the yumminess of fishballs and cheese sticks) and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I'm sure other schools also have org-sponsored sales. For instance, I am updated about sales in Ateneo (and other goings-on there) just by looking at their huge board with the blue flourescent eagle. And Monster Radio RX 93.1 also sends shout-outs regarding these things. School fairs are a good bet so you can check them out as well.

ako rin!!! i haven't gone there YET. i might take a peek by the end of the week, para napagpilian na yung stuff on sale so i wouldn't see anything i like :) haha :) at least na-satisfy curiousity ko and would have saved my wallet some damage :) but if i see something nice, then i'll buy na rin.. MFEO kame :)

zara sale oh no! don't know if i should be happy or sad that i just found about this... too late to buy, but then that's one way of making tipid, hahaha!

btw, another tipidtip. shopping moratorium dapat on all months except july and january. all the stores have these crazy sales start of the year and middle of the year it pains me how much i would've saved if only i had the will power to save up for those sales :) JULY is SALE MONTH! or so i've noticed :)

yeah, i noticed they were on sale when i passed by the glorietta branch the other day. i resisted the temptation to go in and "browse," which is the precursor to "buy." :)

alam mo sulit sa zara talaga. like the knits. classic e. parang mango's quality has deteriorated na or baka it looks bad beside zara lang?

lorr, i think you're right.. mango's quality isn't all that much. trendy pieces pa usually so di sha ganun ka-sulit especially if limited budget lang. gotta check out the zara sale then. or not. as betty said "browse" would most likely lead to "buy" and no money equals "credit card" leading to "debt" waaaaah
